Terms of Service
Last updated: July 17, 2026
These terms are the rules of the room. They exist for the same reason our zones have security on the door and gatekeepers in the crowd: so that saying hi to a stranger stays a good idea. By creating an account or using 22Blues, you agree to them.
1. Who can join
22Blues is for adults aged 18 and over. By creating an account you confirm you meet that age, that the information you provide is accurate, and that you are joining as yourself — accounts are personal and may not be shared or transferred.
2. What 22Blues is
22Blues helps you discover places chosen by our editorial team and meet the people who are actually in them. Check-ins, saying hi, and everything that follows happen in the 22Blues app.
3. Real presence only
Check-ins are GPS-verified and must reflect where you genuinely are. Spoofing your location, checking in on someone else’s behalf, or manipulating presence in any way is grounds for immediate removal.
4. How you treat people
A hi only lands when it is mutual, and that principle extends to everything here: no harassment, no pressure, no following anyone who has not invited it. Behave in a zone the way a good guest behaves in someone’s home — what happens face to face matters to us as much as what happens in the app.
5. Zones and gatekeepers
Zones open only inside vetted venues and within safe hours. Members of our team — gatekeepers — may be present in any zone as ordinary guests to keep it safe. We may close a zone, decline a check-in, or remove a member whenever safety calls for it.
6. Reporting and enforcement
You can block any member instantly and report any behavior that feels wrong. Reports are reviewed continuously; depending on what we find, we may warn, suspend, or permanently remove an account. Keeping this community what it is sometimes means deciding someone doesn’t belong in it — that judgment is ours to make.
7. Content
The pages, photography, and editorial work on 22Blues belong to us or our licensors and may not be republished without permission. Anything you submit, you must have the right to share — and you grant us the license needed to display it within the service.
8. Venues are independent
The venues that host zones are independent businesses. We choose them with care, but we do not operate them — entry, purchases, and house rules are between you and the venue.
9. Meeting people is your choice
We build the conditions for safe, real-world meetings — vetted venues, sensible hours, gatekeepers, mutual consent. But the decision to meet someone is always yours, and to the extent the law allows, 22Blues is not liable for what members do, in the app or in person.
10. Ending the relationship
You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive — content rights, limitations of liability — survive termination.
11. Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. If we change them in a meaningful way, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
