Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 17, 2026
22Blues exists to get you off the screen and back into the room. That shapes how we treat data: we collect as little as we can, keep it no longer than we need to, and never make your presence a product. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
1. What we collect
When you create an account we collect the basics: your name, contact details, date of birth, and the profile status you choose to show. Where identity verification is required, we collect what is needed to complete it. Browsing our editorial pages requires no account at all.
2. Location and presence
Checking in to a zone uses your device’s GPS to confirm you are genuinely there — presence on 22Blues is real or it is nothing. Your check-in fades automatically after a few hours, and we do not keep a history of the places you have been.
3. What other people see
Inside a zone, others see only your status and your age — no photos, no gender, nothing to scroll. If you exchange a mutual hi with someone, each of you is shown the other’s name, three profile photos, and their last seen spot on the map, so you can find each other in person. Nothing is ever revealed without mutuality.
4. Safety and reports
When you report or block someone, we keep a record of the report and the behavior described so our team can review it and act. These records are retained for as long as they are needed to keep the community safe.
5. Cookies and preferences
We use cookies to keep you signed in and to remember preferences such as your language. We do not use cookies to follow you around the internet.
6. How we share
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers who help us run 22Blues — hosting, verification, and the like — under contracts that limit what they may do with it, and with authorities where the law requires it.
7. Your rights
You can access, correct, or delete your account information at any time from the app, or by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your profile and any presence data associated with it.
8. Age
22Blues is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, and we remove accounts that misrepresent their age.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect. Continuing to use 22Blues after that means you accept the updated policy.
